The Township of Zorra looks for engaged citizens to participate on several boards and committees. Our boards and committees are comprised of various Zorra Township residents, Township Staff, and/or members of Council. Membership of Boards and Committees is renewed every four years, with the change of Council. Details of these committees are outlined below. Please contact the Township Clerk for more information regarding committees at 519-485-2490.
To view agendas and minutes for any meeting, please search the Township Meetings Calendar. Should you require a copy of a Council or Committee document, or would like to request a document in an alternate format, please contact the Township Clerk. View notice about Zorra's move to iCompass for all Council and Committee documents.
Task Forces
The Township of Zorra is exploring the use of alternative public engagement methods. Previously the Township relied on advisory committees to receive public input. However, the Township will be transitioning to the use of "task forces" where possible in the future.
Task forces are groups established to work on a defined task, activity, or a specific problem. Task forces are typically short in duration and operate much more informally than Township committees do. The idea behind task forces is that they will allow residents to participate, remain informed, offer suggestions, and provide meaningful input without the bureaucratic formalities that committees need to operate under.
Please forward any feedback regarding task forces by May 31, 2022 to Alycia Wettlaufer by email.
