Zorra Included in Provincewide Shutdown

General Safety Measures

The Province of Ontario has placed southern Ontario, including Zorra Township, in lockdown from December 26, 2020 until January 23, 2021. As such, the following public health safety measures are applicable to gatherings, workplaces requirements and face coverings. Municipal Office/Council Meetings

The Municipal Office will be closed except by appointment only. In accordance with Provincial directives, staff that are able to work from home, will. Should a resident need to meet with municipal staff, please call 519-485-2490 to arrange an appointment or by email to Staff have access to our phone system and can be reached on their normal extensions during business hours.

The Municipal Office will be open until 5:00 p.m. on December 23, 2020. Staff will be working remotely starting on Monday, January 4, 2021.

Council meetings will be held virtually throughout the lockdown. Please visit the Township website for details on upcoming Council meetings There will not be any in person appearances in the Council Chamber. Gathering Limits
It is illegal to gather indoors with anyone you do not live with.
You must limit contact to your household (the people you live with) and stay at least 2 metres apart from everyone else.
Do not visit any other household or allow visitors in your home.
If you live alone, you can have close contact with only one other household.

All events and social gatherings:
• Indoors: not allowed, except with members of your household (or one other household if you live alone)
• Outside: 10 people

Religious, wedding and funeral services:
• Indoors: 10 capacity
• Outside: 10 people

Only go out for essential reasons, such as:
• work
• groceries
• pharmacy
• health care
• helping vulnerable people
• exercise and physical activity

Remotely work should happen in all industries to the greatest extent possible.

Sports and Recreation

All sports and recreation activities are closed/cancelled.
