Under Ontario Regulation 507/18, Broader Public Sector: Energy Reporting and Conservation and Demand Management Plans, all public agencies are required to report annually on energy use and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The agencies are also required to prepare and make public updated five-year energy conservation and demand management plans. The regulation is intended to help organizations increase awareness of how buildings and facilities use energy and requires a plan to be developed to reduce energy consumption.
