Zorra Municipal Office Property Sold to Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario

The Township of Zorra is pleased to announce the successful sale of the Township Municipal Office property located at 274620 27th Line, to the Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario for $1,230,000.

The Township Council authorized staff to proceed with listing the property for sale in anticipation of moving into the new Zorra Municipal and Child Care Centre in Thamesford in May of 2024. The Lori Goldhawk Team Royal LePage Triland Realty was selected through a Request for Proposal process and successfully completed the sale within two weeks of the property being listed and above asking price.

The Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario is a professional organization for family farm entrepreneurs. As an Accredited Farm Organization, they advocate on behalf of our members, advising provincial government on policy solutions for a broad range of agricultural and rural issues. The CFFO will be relocating after the sale of their existing office in Guelph.

Zorra Mayor Marcus Ryan remarked “When Council rezoned our office in anticipation of selling the site, we could not have picked a more suitable purchaser for the property. The office use is extremely compatible with the surrounding land use and adds a key agricultural support organization for the residents of Zorra.”

Zorra will be relocating in May of 2024 and the CFFO will take possession of the property on June 3, 2024.
