Oxford County’s garbage and recycling curbside collection program now includes weekly, single stream recycling. Garbage & recycling collection day is Monday in Zorra. Wasteline tools help you keep track of your garbage and recycling collection schedule. Get the information you want when you want it by using the “When’s my pickup?” tool (located below), signing up for automated reminders, or using the Wasteline mobile app.

Search by address to confirm your next waste collection day and see what materials are being collected. Trouble getting your Wasteline calendar? Make sure you are entering your civic address—the location where your garbage is picked up—and not a mailing address, for instance, post office (PO) box.

Oxford County garbage and recycling program information
Waste Management Calendars are mailed out to all residents in the County. Download a copy of the calendar here. If you did not receive a Waste Management Calendar, you can pick one up at the Township office or you can visit the County of Oxford website to request a calendar online.

All items are also available for sale at the Oxford County Landfill in Salford. Can't get into the office to pick up Bag Tags? They are available for sale at many local retailers and libraries around the county. If you prefer, send us a cheque or pay online and we will mail tags out to you!
Brush, Leaf and Yard Waste Depots
Did you know that Zorra has a free depot for brush, leaf and yard waste? It is located across the road from the Kintore Public Works Shop at 783045 Road 78, just east of Highway 19. Acceptable materials include: fruits & vegetables, garden hedge & tree trimmings, grass, leaves, Halloween pumpkins, house & garden plants, mulch, brush (not longer than 6ft), Christmas Trees. This depot is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There is no charge for this service. *No dumping of garbage permitted*

The County of Oxford has recently retained a multi-disciplinary team lead by Brook Mcllroy Inc., in association with Macaulay Shiomi Howson Ltd., to undertake a Community/Urban Design Strategy. The primary purpose of this exercise is to develop a community/urban design policy framework and overall implementation strategy for the County and eight Area Municipalities that can be considered as part of the current 5 year Official Plan review process.
