Cemeteries in Zorra Township

There are many cemeteries located within Zorra Township.  Some are still active and some are inactive.  Oxford County maintains a listing of cemeteries in the county

Details and contact information for a few of our cemeteries are noted below. While we try our best to keep this information updated, changes do happen. We apologize if any of the contacts are not current. Please call our office for more information. 

The Ingersoll Rural Cemetery is located at the end of Cemetery Lane, just off Pemberton Street in Ingersoll. This Cemetery is run by a board made up of volunteers and members of Council in Ingersoll and Zorra. 

The North Embro Cemetery is located at 375830 37th Line Embro. This cemetery is run by a board of volunteers and members of Council. 

Decoration day is the 4th Sunday of August each year. 

The Townline Cemetery is located at 296246 29th Line, Zorra Township. Decoration Day is held annually on the Second Sunday in August from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Postal Disruption Notice

Canada Post mail service to and from the Township of Zorra may be interrupted due to the postal disruption. For time-sensitive documents, there is a 24-hour mail slot outside of the Zorra Municipal Centre located at 163 Brock Street in Thamesford.

Winter Parking Restrictions

Winter parking restrictions will be enforced every year from November 15th to March 31st. Parking is not permitted on any road or street from 1:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., seven (7) days a week during this period, as the streets need to be clear of vehicles in case of the need for snow removal. Any vehicle owner found in violation of this by-law could be fined or have their vehicle removed/towed at owners expense.
