The Township of Zorra has several different grant programs available to Community Groups. More information on these programs is below.
Policy 500-03 Grants to Local Cemeteries Operators
The purpose of this policy is to establish fair and equitable process for dealing with annual funding requests from owners/operators of non-municipally and municipally owned active and non-active cemeteries in the Township of Zorra. Also to provide staff guidance for decision making consistent with the Township’s By-laws, agreements and as prescribed in provincial statute.
Cemetery Operators are encouraged to review the policy before submitting an application. All required documentation must be submitted by September 15th, in order to be considered in the budget for the following year.
Policy 500-11 School Bus Grants
This policy states that each local school in the Township is qualified to receive up to $500 annually to be used towards busing for field trips within the Township of Zorra, in addition to funds to cover transportation costs for the Local Government Week activities at the Township.
Application forms can be submitted throughout the year, a minimum of three weeks prior to the field trip.
