Zorra Announces Interim Director of Recreation & Facilities

The Township of Zorra is pleased to announce that Michelle Smibert has been appointed as Interim Director of Recreation and Facilities and will commence a six-month contract on August 28, 2023.

Ms. Smibert has a wealth of municipal experience and was most recently Interim Director of Community Services with the Town of Ingersoll. Don MacLeod, Chief Administrative Officer, remarked “we are fortunate to be able to tap into Michelle’s work experience and this will help as we move forward with a full structural review of our recreation delivery system.”

Postal Disruption Notice

Canada Post mail service to and from the Township of Zorra may be interrupted due to the postal disruption. For time-sensitive documents, there is a 24-hour mail slot outside of the Zorra Municipal Centre located at 163 Brock Street in Thamesford.

Winter Parking Restrictions

Winter parking restrictions will be enforced every year from November 15th to March 31st. Parking is not permitted on any road or street from 1:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., seven (7) days a week during this period, as the streets need to be clear of vehicles in case of the need for snow removal. Any vehicle owner found in violation of this by-law could be fined or have their vehicle removed/towed at owners expense.
