The Purchasing Policy outlines how the Township acquires goods and services.

Zorra Tender Opening - Tender results are announced and recorded as opened. The amounts listed in the Tender Results have not been checked or verified and may contain errors. The Township of Zorra reserves the right to reject any of all bids and the lowest or any bid will not necessarily be accepted.

The Township of Zorra now uses bids&tenders to source for goods and services. This makes it easy for vendors to review, register and download, and submit bids online in one bidding system. Please visit our page on the Bids&Tenders website for more information and to view Tenders & RFPs.

Using the Township of Zorra's Online Bids and Tenders

  • If you are using this service for the first time, you will need to create an account. Save your username and password for future reference.

  • If you already have an account, proceed to "Login"

  • Select "Register for Bid" to be added to the bidders list and to be able to download documents for each bid opportunity. Only registered bidders may access bid documents.

  • Select the Categories of Interest for which you or your company would like to receive updates.

  • When registration is complete click on the link to download the bid document.

  • To download additional copies, return to our site and login with your username and password.

  • It is the bidder's responsibility to check this web page often for any addendums. Bids received without a signed addendum attached (if applicable) will not be accepted.

  • Submitted bid documents or addendums that have been altered or do not match the documents posted on this website will not be accepted.

The Township will be participating in Cooperative procurement and in order to maintain compliance with the Canadian Free Trade Agreement the attached declaration is provided.

Notice of a Public Meeting
Amendments to Fees under the Building Code Act


Please be advised that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Zorra will consider amendments to the Building By-Law 01-24 related to building permit fees. Moreover, whereas Ontario Regulation 332/12 requires the Township to hold at least one public meeting to inform the public of the introduction or change in a permit fee under Section 7 of the Building Code Act.

Please be notified that a Public Meeting will be held in Council Chambers, Zorra Municipal Centre, 163 Brock St. Thamesford, as follows:

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2025 
6:00 p.m.

The Township will make available information setting out an estimate of the costs of providing the services, the amount of the fees, and the rationale for imposing the fees, prior to the Public Meeting on Friday, December 12, 2025.

Postal Disruption Notice

Canada Post mail service to and from the Township of Zorra may be interrupted due to the postal disruption. For time-sensitive documents, there is a 24-hour mail slot outside of the Zorra Municipal Centre located at 163 Brock Street in Thamesford.

Winter Parking Restrictions

Winter parking restrictions will be enforced every year from November 15th to March 31st. Parking is not permitted on any road or street from 1:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., seven (7) days a week during this period, as the streets need to be clear of vehicles in case of the need for snow removal. Any vehicle owner found in violation of this by-law could be fined or have their vehicle removed/towed at owners expense.
