Welcome to Zorra Township

The Township of Zorra is a rural municipality within the County of Oxford.

The Township is comprised of 115,000 acres of prime farmland, several rural clusters and two serviced villages. 

The Township office is located at 163 Brock Street, Thamesford.

Office hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. excluding statutory holidays.

Postal Disruption Notice

Canada Post mail service to and from the Township of Zorra may be interrupted due to the postal disruption. For time-sensitive documents, there is a 24-hour mail slot outside of the Zorra Municipal Centre located at 163 Brock Street in Thamesford.

Winter Parking Restrictions

Winter parking restrictions will be enforced every year from November 15th to March 31st. Parking is not permitted on any road or street from 1:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., seven (7) days a week during this period, as the streets need to be clear of vehicles in case of the need for snow removal. Any vehicle owner found in violation of this by-law could be fined or have their vehicle removed/towed at owners expense.

Closed for the holidays

The Zorra Municipal Office is closed for the holidays and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026. In case of an emergency requiring Township staff, please call 519-485-2490 and leave a message at extension 7225. Messages will be monitored daily and forwarded to a contact person.

At any time during this holiday season, the Township Public Works Department will provide service if weather conditions warrant snow removal to ensure public safety.
